Jacqui has practised as a Speech Pathologist for over 25 years in South Australia in a number of different positions including rural primary health care and education. Since 1990 she has established herself at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, moving from Assistant Director of Speech Pathology to Director of Speech Pathology. Through her role at the RAH she has developed skills in the early assessment and management of dysphagia and communication across a number of clinical areas including stroke/neurology, head and neck cancer, traumatic brain injury and general medicine. She also fronts the RAH Voice Clinic. In 2007, amid a quest to further her knowledge and skill in voice therapy, Jacqui participated in her first Voicecraft® Extensive Six Day Workshop. Here she encountered an approach which revolutionised her own understanding of the voice and equipped her to work with patients with understanding, skill, direction and conviction - and consistent results! She was invited to join the Voicecraft® practice in 2008, working closely alongside Dr Alison Bagnall, its founder.
Jacqui continues as a Voice Therapist at AVASS, along with her ongoing role at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
